Why does the baby Jesus often look like a small, sometimes balding old man in the medieval arts? Discover and learn to interpret the expressive and colorful language of the Scanian medieval art, where symbols of all kinds permeated everything from sculptures to fresco paintings. In a journey spanning the 11th century to the 16th century, we encounter everything from pious Marian motifs to bloodstained martyred saints.

The tour is open and included in the admission fee to the museum.
